Drawing or painting images of Buddhas is a very powerful and profound way to transform our mind. When we relate to sacred images our mind becomes blessed and peaceful, we feel closer to Enlightened Beings and establish a more personal relationship with them.
Artists, Non-Artists, Buddhists, Non-Buddhists – Everyone welcome! In this workshop, Gen Kelsang Lingpur will introduce the iconographic principles of sacred Buddhist art. For over two and a half thousand years, Buddhists have practiced the art of depicting holy forms in paintings and statues.
No prior art experience is necessary and everyone will complete a painting of the face of Buddha. All supplies are provided.
